Jeremy came over and gave me a huge hug today, thanking me for the gift. Gift? What gift, I asked. I'd been so absorbed in my little check card catastrophe that I'd completely forgotten it was his birthday, and that I'd split his present three ways with Becci and Gael.
Not that I've actually been able to pay them my share. I'm cashless until my bank problem is solved. Ah, well.
Lita came in today to drop off some books. She was so excited to have her first day off after working the last 28 days straight. She said the dreaded S-word, "sushi," asking if there was a good place nearby. Becci or no Becci, I had to go there for lunch.
It wasn't the same without her. Hungry as I was, I could barely finish half. I brought the rest back for B (a piece of tuna, two salmon, and a huge clump of spicy tuna) but completely forgot the soy sauce. Damnit. Hector and Chris wouldn't pop into Panda to steal some so she ate it with just the wasabe and lemon.
Wooeeehahoowee! she'd scream after every mouthful. It reminded me a lot of Buffy on last week's episode, downing shots of tequila while Spike played kitty poker.
I'm off to design some diaries. Moo.
